Prayer Chain Ministry
". . . and pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for the saints." Ephesians 6:18
Instructed by our Lord Jesus that "men ought always to pray and not faint," we must take very seriously the call and charge of the Christian to pray.
The prayer ministry of Lake Country Bible Church includes both an email prayer chain and a phone prayer chain, and exists to notify of urgent and continuing prayer needs to members and friends of the church. Knowledge of such needs may be received from the pastor, the prayer chain coordinators, or directly from individuals by phone or email. Email messages are sent to the subscribing group, detailing the request. Requests are also given to the phone prayer chain coordinator (if not received from her) so that LCBC women heading small groups can convey them by phone to members who are without email. Follow-up messages containing updated information, and praises for answered prayer are handled in the same manner.
The prayer chains have also been utilized to notify in emergency situations and to advise the details of services such as memorials or funerals that may be planned quickly and thus fall between Sunday services and regular announcements.
